Haylage, Baleage and Hay Making

A Midi Square Bale measures 500mm high, 800mm wide, and 1520mm long, equivalent to 5 conventional bales or half a medium square bale.

In many applications a Midi Square Bales will be easier to handle while being cheaper to produce, in some cases the convenience will offset the cost and vice versa, as in some cases conventional bales are more expensive to produce than medium square bales but are chosen due to the handling convenience or waste factor compared to a Medium Square. Now the midi square bale gives the best of both worlds being economical to produce and economical to feed. Midi Square bales are made up of several flakes or slabs some refer to as biscuits like a small conventional bale.

The biggest benefit of haylage over hay for many owners is that haylage is dust free.

Haylage (and baleage) can be stored outside or in the paddock to be feed from, removing the capital cost of a hay shed and adding the convenience of having feed on hand in the paddock without needing to cart hay each day.

Hay is stacked in your shed provided access is good and the shed is in or beside the paddock. Cartage service for offsite delivery is available. (T’s and C’s apply) 

Revolution hay offers a 50/50 Option, where you may not require or desire all the haylage, baleage or hay taken from you paddocks.

This is a case-by-case situation dependent on location, quality and quantity. An example would be you have 10 acers of grass and usually only use half of your hay. You would pay us for baling only 50% of the bales With the remaining 50% removed by us to off set the production costs with no further charge to you  (T’s and C’s apply)
